We believe in a united and empowered Nigerian community in Calgary, one that celebrates its heritage, uplifts one another, and contributes meaningfully to the broader Canadian society.

About Us

The Nigerian Canadian Association of Calgary is a non-profit organization founded to unite, empower, and uplift Nigerians living in Calgary and surrounding areas.

For decades, we’ve been the bridge that connects our community: helping newcomers settle, promoting cultural awareness, and fostering social and economic growth. The dedication of our past presidents built the foundation we stand on today, and our current executive team continues that legacy with purpose and vision. Together, their leadership ensures that NCAC remains a place where unity, collaboration, and service thrive.

Our programs and initiatives are open to everyone who believes in our mission of unity, collaboration, and giving back. Together, we’re building a stronger Nigerian presence in Calgary.

The Yoruba Foundation Calgary promotes the rich traditions of Yoruba culture within Canada’s multicultural landscape.

We create spaces where members can connect, share ideas, and support one another—socially, economically, and culturally.

Our goal is to help children of Yoruba heritage, and others interested in our traditions, build a strong sense of identity and belonging.

We also represent Yoruba values proudly, fostering collaboration and mutual respect within the wider Calgary community.

MONAC’s purpose is to empower the Nigerian Middle-Belt diaspora in Canada to thrive and give back to their communities, while supporting the development of a united and prosperous Middle Belt in Nigeria – peaceful, equitable, culturally vibrant, and strong.
